Sean Sullivan

My name is Sean Sullivan and I have been attending St. Tom’s for ten years with my wife Karen and our two boys, Conor and Patrick. As a family, we have made St. Tom’s our home. The blend of residents and students, the outstanding music and the message our priests deliver make St. Tom’s a great catholic community.

I grew up in Valparaiso and attended college at the University of Dayton in Ohio. I spent one year of college at the Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Karen is a Purdue graduate and grew up in Lafayette. We are both self-employed, Karen as horticulturalist while I own and operate GardenArt, a local landscape design and installation business.

I became involved in parish activities due to the out going nature of Vince Drnevich, who asked me to join MOST. From there, I have been active with the maintenance of the facility and have been involved in the latest capital campaign ‘Are We Cooking’.

By participating in these various activities, I have realized the importance of stewardship to the long-term success of our parish. I would strongly encourage EVERYONE to become involved in some aspect of our parish, whether it is helping with coffee and donuts, participating in liturgical groups, increasing social awareness with a group such as the Haiti committee or helping with engagement of our fellow parishioners by joining the Stewardship Committee.

As Father Dan Davis says, ‘This is our parish.’ WE all need to participate to continue to grow St. Tom’s are realize our collective potential. Everyone has something to offer and we respectfully ask all to do so.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve on the parish council.
