Father Thomas Poulsen, O.P.

Recently I was assigned to be one of the associate pastors here. I am looking forward to ministry with you as we seek to bring the qualities of the “kingdom of God” (truth, justice, love, forgiveness, peace) into reality in out time and place.

What follows is a brief listing of where I have been before coming here. I’m originally from Racine, WI. After a couple of years at Loras College in Dubuque, IA, I entered a process of becoming a Dominican priest, being ordained in 1967. Since ordination, I taught theology at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, IL from 1968-1983; was associate pastor (1983-1989) and then pastor (1989-1995) of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Madison, WI; acted as chaplain for cloistered Dominican Nuns in Farmington Hills, MI from 1996-1997; was pastor of St. Albert the Great Parish in Minneapolis, MN from 1997-2006; and most recently (2006-2007), I was associate pastor to Fr. Steve Kuhlmann who currently is pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Columbia, MO.
