My name is Theresa Candy Silver, and I am the Development Director at St. Thomas Aquinas, affectionately referred to by so many as St. Tom’s. I’ve come a long way to get to this position, and I look forward to what’s to come for myself and for this University Parish.
I was born and raised in neighboring Warren County, and I became a Purdue Boilermaker in the late 1970s. After several changes in my field of study, followed by several years spent in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, I’m proud to have earned a degree from Purdue University in Individual and Family Behaviors. This education has undoubtedly been a priceless asset to my family and career life.
Now that I’m living and working in the Greater Lafayette area, it’s my pleasure to be serving St. Tom’s. My primary responsibilities in the development office are fundraising through Capital Campaigns, Annual Appeals, and Major and Special Gifts. I also plan annual special events such as the Golf Outing, the Parish Picnic, and the Ministry and Fall Festivals. The energy and support I receive from the students, resident parishioners, alumni, and friends of St. Tom’s is greatly appreciated.
