Infant Baptism
Through the Sacrament of Baptism, infants are welcomed into the Catholic faith family. It is extremely important for parents to know what they are asking when they ask to have their children baptized. St. Tom's baptismal preparation program is for first-time parents and godparents. Classes are offered every other month. Please see the weekly bulletin or call the office for dates and times.First time parents are required to attend two scheduled sessions. Contact Eileen Strater for more information.

First Communion
Preparation for the Sacrament of Eucharist is normally in the second grade. Parents play an essential role in this preparation process. The Family Life Office offers support to these parents by providing informational classes for the parents and educational materials and classes for the children. First Communion will be celebrated on May 6, 2007.

Confirmation
At your baptism your parents spoke for you. In the sacrament of Confirmation you will speak for yourself as a follower of Jesus Christ. Preparation for Confirmation begins in September 2007 for those who have been raised in the Roman Catholic tradition. Those wishing to be confirmed must be at least 16 years old by October 2007. Preparation for Confirmation will include instruction, community service, and spiritual formation. Confirmation is scheduled for Sunday, April 29, 2007.

RCIA
RCIA is the process by which adults enter the Roman Catholic Church. Interested persons may come to the Inquiry on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. This is the first step in the RCIA process. It gives inquirers the opportunity
to share faith, ask questions, pray together and meet members of the faith community. Because the process of conversion cannot be dictated by a calendar, sessions continue on a year-round basis. Participants will be fully initiated into the community after participating in the RCIA process for a full liturgical year.. Contact Eileen Strater for more information.

RCIC
RCIC is the process by which children who have not been baptized by the age of seven can prepare for this sacrament. Sessions are held once a week during the school year.
