Hello, my name is Eileen Strater, and I am in my 5th year as the Religious Education Coordinator. My husband, Roger, and I were married almost 27 years ago here at St. Tom's, and we have two children, and are the proud grandparents of an energetic two-year-old. We are real "Purdue people"; Roger and I both graduated from Purdue, both of our children attended Purdue, and Roger is currently a Purdue employee. I was also a Purdue employee for 18 years before I joined the staff at St. Toms in May of 1997. My position here allows me to get involved with many different aspects of ministry, including: the Religious Education Program for preschool-6th grade, the MOMs Group, the student-driven PCE Retreat, Baptismal Preparation, Marriage Preparation, Initiation of Children into the Catholic Church, and other programs which allow me the pleasure of working closely with resident parishioner families as well as Purdue students. I am also currently working (slowly) on a Masters in Pastoral Theology from St. Mary-Of-The-Woods in Terre Haute. In my spare time, I enjoy weaving and reading, and I will be happy to discuss any books you might have read recently, so stop on by!
